Spring may be the most beautiful season to visit Japan. During end of March to the rest of April, you’ll get to see cherry & peach blossoms all over Japan. The country gets so crowded with tourists, booking hotel/AirBnB early for your visit is necessary.

Ueno Park holds one of the biggest cherry blossom festival in Tokyo. We visited at the end of March, 2015 and the park was crowded with tourists and locals. Selfie sticks and cameras everywhere! Locals picnicked at the sides of the pathways under the beautiful sakuras.

Walking through the park, you can see various temples. One is Kaneji Temple.

How to get there:

• Using Tokyo subway – get off at Ueno Station
• Walk 5 mins (take path to the station ticket gate, go down stairs, take crosswalk, take access path) destination on your left
