We arrived and settled into our AirBnB apartment at about 11:00PM. The December rain kicked in, making the streets pretty wet and quiet. Feeling famished, we went on to the Yelp app to find some dinner spots open at this hour. About .5 miles away was a wings and beer spot called Fire On The Mountain on East Burnside Street.

We tried 3 types of wings: spicy peanut, raspberry habanero, and bourbon chipotle. All the seasonings had a sour buffalo after taste. The taste was perfect for a cold, rainy night. I got a stout to go with the wings. Oh goodness, bringing this moment back as I am writing this really makes my mouth water. The most delicious of all, though, was the fried pickle. It was breaded thick enough to keep the juice in and thin enough to be just crispy. It was amazing. This really made my night.

I highly recommend this wings spot for a night snack and cold beer on any kind of night!
